Who we are
Novelfolk is a reading and listening app published by Descaria. This policy covers the Novelfolk iOS app and novelfolk.com. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to info@novelfolk.com.
02 / INFORMATION
What we handle
- Account details: your email address, account identifier, authentication state, Apple sign-in identifier if used, and password recovery requests. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider.
- Reading and purchase activity: saved stories, reading position, completion, Scribe and series follows, monthly words accessed, App Store subscription status and transaction identifiers, and settings you choose.
- Community activity: an optional display name, reviews, club memberships and posts, project votes, and notification preferences. Approved contributions and your display name may appear to other readers.
- Technical and support information: service requests and diagnostic logs needed to run and secure the app, plus information you send when contacting support.
The website itself does not ask you to create an account and does not use advertising trackers.

How we use it
We use this information to provide your account and story access, keep your place and shelf, show the community features you choose to use, moderate contributions, send account and recovery emails, respond to requests, and maintain the service. Novelfolk does not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
05 / YOUR CHOICES
Access, correction, and deletion
You can edit your community display name in the app, remove saves and follows, and sign out. Delete your account in the app’s You tab. To ask about your information or get help with deletion, visit our account deletion page or email info@novelfolk.com from your account email. We may need to verify your identity. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal or security obligations.
Previously opened story sections can be stored on your device for offline reading. Signing out removes access to the account’s cached content within the app. Audio is streamed rather than downloaded for offline use.
